Is there a way to get a grant from the government for paying a medical bill that hasn't happned yet, the laser spine institute will not schedule me for surgery unless I can prove that I will pay them back. I need a grant from the government, to help me get this surgery done. Can anyone answer my question for state or government grants to help pay for medical bills?

I have a chronic lyme disease. I have already spent $20,000 for my treatment. I sold my car for rest of my treatment to be done. I'm selling everything I have to continue the treatment. Insurance did not cover for the treatment. Now I'm not able to work and also lost my job. I'm looking for some help to get the treatment. Please help!!
I am currently having some medical/health issues. Since November 2010 I have been in the hospital and/or ER 4 times. I have no medical insurance because I can't afford it. I was out of work on a medical leave for 6 months. Because I have a job, I haven't been able to qualify for any kind of assistance. My medical bills are high and most of them have gone to collection. I barely make enough to pay my normal bills...there's no money left to pay medical bills. The stress of these bills & bill collectors hanging over my head is about to do me in! It's hard fighting an illness and worrying about how to get these bills paid. Does anyone know of any grants or funds available to help pay medical bills?
My wife had Essure implants put in for sterilization. She is now having complications due to internal infection caused by a reaction to the metal the implants are made of. She needs surgery to have the implants removed and quickly. The infection is spreading and the doctor said that it could cause blindness and could eventually kill her. Medicaid paid for the implants to be put in but will not pay for them to be taken out because it is considered a fertility procedure. The only place that we have found that will take them out is in Georgia and the procedure costs over 5000 dollars plus travel costs.
